I co-founded Mastertrack Audio Productions with producer and orchestrator Christopher Hussey and recording engineer Jonas Persson, bringing together decades of experience in orchestral recording, production and performance.
Working with some of the Czech Republic’s leading orchestras, musicians, studios and concert halls, we provide a complete recording service for composers, artists, publishers and record labels – from the first conversation about a project through to the finished master.
MY WORK WITH MASTERTRACK
As co-founder and conductor of Mastertrack, I work closely with clients to turn their music into successful recording projects.
Every project is different. My work can begin long before the musicians arrive in the studio – discussing repertoire, instrumentation, budgets and session requirements, helping to determine the right orchestra, venue and recording approach for the music.
In the studio, I conduct and oversee the musical side of the session, working alongside Christopher Hussey as producer and Jonas Persson as recording engineer to ensure that the composer or artist leaves with the performance and sound they envisaged.
Our approach is collaborative, practical and highly personal. Whether recording a single work or developing a larger album project, the aim is always the same: to make world-class orchestral recording accessible without compromising on musical or technical standards.
RECORDING IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC
The Czech Republic has been at the heart of my recording work for more than a decade.
Through Mastertrack, I regularly work with professional Czech orchestras and musicians in Prague and Ostrava, recording in venues ranging from purpose-built studios to internationally renowned concert halls.
DVOŘÁK HALL, RUDOLFINUM
Home of the Czech Philharmonic and one of Europe’s great concert halls, Prague's Dvořák Hall offers an extraordinary acoustic for orchestral and classical recording.
SMECKY MUSIC STUDIOS, PRAGUE
One of Central Europe’s best-known orchestral recording studios, Smecky has a remarkable international recording history spanning classical music, film, television and production music.
STUDIO MARTÍNEK, PRAGUE
A historic Prague recording studio centred around a beautiful Art Nouveau recording hall, Studio Martínek offers an intimate acoustic particularly suited to chamber ensembles, choirs and smaller orchestral forces. Now operated by PARMA Recordings, the studio combines more than 70 years of recording history with modern recording facilities.
OSTRAVA
My long-standing relationship with musicians in Ostrava has resulted in numerous recording projects, including work with the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava.
SELECTED PROJECTS
My work through Mastertrack encompasses commercial classical releases, new music, production music and bespoke recordings for composers and artists.
Projects have included recordings with the Czech Philharmonic, Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava and Prague Metropolitan Orchestra, alongside sessions for independent composers, publishers and international record labels.
From large orchestral sessions to chamber ensembles and specialist projects, each recording is built around the requirements of the music rather than a standard package.
